Production is now underway in Queesnland, Australia on Pirates of the Caribbean 5…finally. The sequel has been a long time coming, and while Disney tried to get the follow-up off the ground rather quickly after the dreadful On Stranger Tides, star/moneymaker Johnny Depp “needed a minute.” Producer Jerry Bruckheimer enlisted Kon-Tiki helmers Espen Sandberg & Joachim Rønning to direct back in May 2013, and they’ve been developing the film ever since.
